Following the success of the World’s Highest Skydiving adventure - Everest Skydive in the Khumbu Himal, Everest Skydive now offers a standard form of skydiving in the lakeside city of Pokhara. Test flights for Pokhara Skydive were conducted successfully on 1st and 2nd November 2010 at Chhine Danda (820mm /2689ft) where skydivers leaped from 12000 to 14000 ft , from aboard Tara Air’s Pilatus Porter aircraft and landed at the proposed site of the Pokhara International Airport.
Lying just 124 miles (200 kilometers) west of Kathmandu, Pokhara is blessed with wonderful scenery. Flanked by panoramic Himalayan peaks of Annapurna, Manaslu, Dhaulagiri and Machhapucchre and surrounded by emerald lakes, Pokhara is a tourist hot spot frequented by thousands of visitors every year. The city is also the starting point of the Annapurna Treks
Backed by the expert Everest Skydive Crew, Pokhara Skydive will be held at Chhine Danda dropzone where skydivers will leap from a height of 11000-13000ft from Tara Air’s Pilatus PC-6 Aircraft. With the snowcapped Annapurna and other Himalayan peaks rearing in the background and emerald lakes and the valley of Pokhara sprawling below, you take the leap from aboard the aircraft, freefalling for a few seconds , before your canopy opens and you land gently on the ground.. Your jump will be captured on film by the camera flier. The Pokhara Skydive boogie is a ten-day package, that include 10 Solo Jumps (with own parachute), accommodation, sightseeing tours and air and surface transfers (Kathmandu - Pokhara), plus rafting on the challenging the rapids of Trishuli River. Entries are open for solo as well as tandem jumps.

If you have friends or family members joining you, we offer a ‘Holiday Package’ that includes One Tandem Jump an d One Tandem Paragliding within the same Boogie Package. An optional half-an-hour Flight on the Microlight is open for those who do not like to skydive.

Day 01. Arrive Kathmandu, Transfer to Hotel
It is a panoramic thrill flying into Kathmandu on a clear day. The views of snow-capped mountain peaks sprawling down below you are almost ecstatic, beginning a whole chain of memorable experiences that stay with you for a long, long time. A representative and driver from our office will meet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel.
Day 02. Sightseeing in Kathmandu
Kathmandu, the historical and cultural heart of Nepal, has been a popular destination for tourists ever since Nepal opened its doors to visitors. The city presents a wonderful mix of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and western influence.
There will be a guided tour to the UNESCO World heritage Sites of Boudhanath -the largest Buddhist Stupa in Nepal, Pashupatinath – the largest Hindu shrine in Nepal dedicated to Lord Shiva, and to the medieval palace of the Malla dynasty at Patan or Lalitpur, the ‘City of Artisans’.
Day 3 Drive to Kurintar, Rafting in Trishuli and Drive to Pokhara
We take an early drive to Kurintar. After 4-hours drive, we arrive in Kurintar. Under the guidance of a river guide, we venture into the Trishuli river and raft along the exciting rapids of the river (rafting past Twin Rock, Ladies Delight and Scout Upset can be a mind-blowing experience). During this meticulously organized river trip, we journey through breath-taking alpine scenery and amazing rapids. After the day's activity we drive to Pokhara.
Day 04. Sightseeing in Pokhara, Drop Zone familiarization, Briefing on Skydiving.
Pokhara, flanked by the mighty Himalayan mountains Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri and Annapurna and surrounded by picturesque lakes, is one of the most favored destinations in Nepal. We enjoy boating at the Phewa Lake, visit Davis Falls, Mahendra Gupha (cave), International Mountain Museum and the Tibetan Refugee Camp. In the afternoon we attend the drop zone familiarization and skydive briefing.
Days 05 – 08 Jump Day
Day 09 Final Jump Day, Afternoon Flight to Kathmandu.
After the day’s final jumps, we will be driven to the airport for our flight to Kathmandu. The flight takes about 30 minutes.
Day 10 Depart Kathmandu
Our support team will take you to the airport for your flight home. Or you can stay longer for short tours such as game drive at National parks, rafting, Tibet tours, mountain biking etc.

Nepalese Skydivers Jump Solo for the First Time in PokharaEverest Skydive in partnership with private domestic airline company Tara Air, have launched skydiving in Pokhara. Test flights were conducted successfully yesterday and today at Pokhara’s Chhine Danda. Skydivers flying on Tara Air’s Pilatus Porter aircraft leaped from 14,000 feet and landed at the site of the Pokhara International Airport ( under construction). First day’s (1st Nov 2010) action saw Everest Skydive’s main organizer and co-ordinator, Mr. Suman Pandey and Wendy Smith,plus officials from Ministry of Tourism & Civil Aviation taking the leap. On 2nd Nov, three Nepalese skydivers, Phul Bahadur Tamang, Bibek Pandey & Dik Bahadur Khirsina jumped solo. These three have created history as they are the first Nepalese solo skydivers.
